For much of my life I have been taught that Satan thought he had won a great battle at Jesus' crucifixion only to be surprised three days later by the resurrection.  I've come to believe that just the opposite is true, that Satan did everything possible to keep Jesus from the cross.  Jesus' ministry was cross focus, Satan's future depended on keeping Jesus from the cross,  The resurrection was a given; the crucifixion was a choice, with the ramifications enormous for you and me.  We win!

Don't misconstrue my next statement.  The older I get, the more i look forward to death.  As one who's faith is in Jesus Christ, how can I  think otherwise?  For me to live is Christ  and to die is gain!  What more is there?  Every thing else is counted dung (KJV translation, not mine).  Happy Resurrection Day everybody,

One more thing.  I want to thank all of you who gave me so many good words of encouragement about my kidney.  I am in a much improved mood than where i was earlier in the week.
