The Hole In The Gospel

If you only read one book this year, read The Hole In The Gospel by Richard Stearns.  Stearns had it all.  As the head of a major company, his was a life that dreams are made of.  With a wonderful and caring family living in a ten-bedroom home, he was the poster child for the successful American Christian businessman.  Yet God had another design for Richard Stearn's life, a call to give up his lucrative career and work full-time with the poorest of the world's poor.  This page-turner of a book chronicles one man's internal struggle with what it means to be Christian.  This is not a book about feel-good Christianity.  Rather,  it a call to action.  Apathy is no longer an option for believers committed to following Jesus Christ.  We must allow our hearts to break by those things that break the heart of God,  We must care about the people God cares about.  And, we must do so in more that a half-hearted way.  Read the book and allow God to realign your priorities with his.
